Band Labz, Where Musicians Make the Band!
Learn how to play with others. Build confidence, timing, listening skills — and perform live on stage at our annual Blanch Music Concert.
Guided band ensembles for teens and adults, led by professional gigging musicians
Why Band Labz?
Most music students learn alone.
They can play songs…
They can pass exams…
But when it comes to playing with other musicians — they freeze.
Band Labz was created to solve that exact problem.
This programme helps musicians move from solo players to
confident band members by learning:
How to stay in time with a drummer
How to listen and lock in with bass and rhythm
How to follow a singer and shape a song together
How to rehearse, communicate, and perform as a group
And the best part? Every group works towards a real goal:
Performing live at our annual Blanch Music Concert.
Who Is Band Labz For?
Band Labz is ideal for students who can already play a little and are ready for the next step.
We run three age groups:
12–14 years
15–17 years
Adults
(Under 18 groups may be blended depending on numbers.)
This programme is perfect if you or your child:
Can already play some songs or pieces
Wants to join a band but doesn’t know how
Lacks confidence playing with others
Loves music and wants a fun, social way to improve
Not suitable for complete beginners — some basic playing ability is required.
