Every class is 30 minutes (45 for group), once a week, over a term. Lessons are built around your goals — whether that's learning your favourite songs for fun or working towards internationally recognised graded exams.

- A great stepping stone to guitar
- Popular as a family duet class
Duet classes are available across every instrument — designed for siblings, parents and children, or two friends learning side by side. Established in 2008, Blanch Music has been running professional weekly music lessons for over fifteen years. Our ethos is simple: have fun, but get the work done. We want students to enjoy every single lesson while still building the skills that let them grow musically. Trim brings that same setup — dedicated teaching rooms, a full admin team behind the scenes, and teachers who do this for a living — to Co. Meath.
After every class you'll get a short email covering what was worked on and what to practise. It's all stored in your Student Portal too, so nothing gets lost between the car park and the kitchen table.

Questions
Trim FAQs
Where are the Trim lessons held?
All Trim lessons take place at our premises at First Floor, Unit 1, Oaktree Business Park, Trim, Co. Meath. There is parking on site.
What age can lessons start?
We find six years old is a good age to start. From there, there's no upper limit — we teach students from 6 to 106, and adult beginners are genuinely common.
How long is a lesson?
Standard private and duet lessons are 30 minutes. Group classes (3+ students) are 45 minutes. Longer private lessons are available on request and are recommended for students preparing for Grade 5 and above.
Do I need my own instrument?
Not to book — but you will need something to practise on at home. Have a chat with us before buying anything: our Music Shop team will point you at the right instrument for the stage you're at, and enrolled students get 10% off.
What happens if we miss a lesson?
Each student gets one make-up credit per term, provided you give us at least 48 hours' notice. Bank holidays and midterm breaks aren't billed at all, so there's nothing to make up for those.
Can I join mid-term?
Yes — private lessons can start at any point in the term, and you'll only pay for the classes remaining. Group and duet classes begin fresh with each new term, since the class works through material together.
Do you offer graded exams?
Yes, and they're completely optional. We prepare students for exams with the Royal Irish Academy of Music, ABRSM, RSL (Rockschool) and Trinity. Exams are a great way to set goals for a term, but plenty of our students never sit one and enjoy their lessons just as much. Let your teacher know if you're interested.
How do I pay?
Lessons are paid by term, securely, through your Student Portal or at the desk.
