Learning Ukulele - Overview
Standard Ukulele Lessons are 30 minutes each class, one class per week booked by Term. Ukulele learning has become really popular in the last 5 to 10 years. It is an excellent course for young players who would like to be introduced to fretted instruments and pick up the basics of strumming, chords, how to tune, finger, strum, timing & song pattern & progression – all useful skills for progressing from the uke onto other string instruments. The ukuleles soft nylon strings, small & light body & vast array of songs to play make this an accessible instrument for all ages and abilities. Learning Ukulele is a fun way to discover music. Ukuleles comes in a range of sizes from Soprano to Baritone. It is now available via Exams to certify your level.

How Much For Uke Lessons?
A standard 30 minute Ukelele lesson costs €24.95*, classes are booked by the term and charged in advance for an upcoming term. This is normally broken into 2 payments; a deposit to hold your space and the balance paid within 2 weeks of starting your lessons. Longer lessons are available upon request and work out at €37.45* for a 45 minute class or €46.15* for 60 minutes

Meet Your Teachers
Aoife McMahon
Aoife McMahon is a guitar and piano teacher with Blanch Music. She has an MA in Music Technology and has taught music for over eight years. Diversely accomplished and curious about all facets of music, she has performed, composed, and recorded music with various projects in Ireland and abroad. As a teacher, she puts an emphasis on fun and enjoyment of music in her lessons as well as trying to get the most out of her students and tailor lessons to their interests and musical goals. She can prepare students for official performance exams with RIAM, Rockschool, as well as Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate State performance exams.

Guillermo Gonzales
Guillermo is an experimented multi-instrumentalist and a passionate music teacher.
He started at young age in conservatory studying classical piano and completed his qualification in primary education and music pedagogy in 2008. He also has developed his career in modern music and early years education and his approach is focused in a global and complete mentoring for young musicians.
As a session musician he has toured in different European countries. In Ireland he has performed in shows in Electric Picnic, Fleadh Cheoil, RTÉ, Abbie theatre, etc; and has recorded several albums and singles in different spaces like Windmill Lane or Candem Studios.

Jayne Horan
Jayne is an accomplished soprano in both classical and opera singing. She has extensive experience as a soloist and performer. She began her music education at an early age studying Royal Irish Academy of Music grades in both the voice and piano. In 2015 she graduated University College Dublin with an Honours Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Music and Spanish. Jayne then continued on her studies in voice and in 2017 received an Honours Associate Diploma of Classical and Opera Performance with Victoria College of Music in London. Following her Associate diploma, Jayne successfully received an Honours Licentiate Diploma of Classical and Opera solo singing 2018 with Victoria College of Music in London.
Jayne is passionate about music, teaching and performance. She has huge experience in choral singing and performance. She has represented Ireland in Chorwettbewerb in Miltenberg, Germany and Internationaler Chorwettbewerb in Spittal an der Drau, Austria with the award winning Tullamore Academy Chamber Choir. In 2018 she competed with the choir in the Fleischmann Choral Competition and Navan Choir of the Year. Jayne also works closely with Moate Children’s Choir who won the Junior Unison Competition in the Feis Ceoil in 2018.

Matt Baumann
Mathias started playing and composing music at a very young age. In 2005, he moved from Germany to Dublin, where he teaching and performs music professionally. Mathias played in various function, cover and original bands of many different styles, ranging from Progressive Rock, Punk Rock, Alternative Rock, Blues, Singer-Songwriter, Bossa Nova, Pop, Funk to Jazz and Contemporary Music. He recorded and toured internationally and his music has been played on national and international radio stations and TV.
In 2013 he successfully completed a four year honours degree course as a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance with a First Class Honours.
He teaches Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Piano & Practical Music Theory.
