Our Lessons
Bodhrán
Standard Bodhrán Lessons are 30 minutes each class, one class per week booked by Term. Bodhrán has many different elements to learn. During your class, your teacher will educate you in the many different Jigs, Reels, Slips and more. You will learn to accompany Traditional Musicians and also learn the elements of Solo performance.
Drums
Standard Drum Lessons are 30 minutes each class, one class per week booked by Term. Drums can be played in a variety of styles and genres. Lessons help develop spacial awareness and also have a physical benefit. Drum lessons can be taken in conjunction with Exams to certify your progression. Teachers will take you through the basic rhythms, rudiments and patterns to help you play along with your favourite Music or to write your own creative beats.
Guitar
Private Guitar lesson can be taken across a number of different Guitar Types. We offer Classical, Acoustic, Electric and Bass Guitar. In all classes you will learn Music Theory and the practical elements of playing Guitar. If you wish to do Classical or Bass only Private lessons are available. Guitar is a great social instrument, there are a huge variety of Genres & Styles.
Piano
Standard Piano Lessons are 30 minutes each class, one class per week booked by Term. The piano is a fantastic instrument to get you into music. Learning Piano will teach you all the basic theoretical knowledge you need to grow as a musician. These Private classes are customised to your needs. If you are just starting to Learn Piano or You have some experience already but would like to focus on specific areas, it can all be catered for.
Singing
Standard Singing Lessons are 30 minutes each class, one class per week booked by Term. Singing can help students to boost confidence and perform in front of others. During singing classes teachers will instruct students on posture, breathing, pitching and Music Theory. There is a wide range of genres to choose from and you can also take Exams to certify your levels.
Ukulele
Standard Ukulele Lessons are 30 minutes each class, one class per week booked by Term. Ukulele has become really popular in the last 5 to 10 years. It is an excellent option for young players who would like to be introduced to fretted instruments and chords. Ukulele comes in a range of sizes from Soprano to Baritone. It is now available via Exams to certify your level.
Violin
Standard Violin Lessons are 30 minutes each class, one class per week booked by Term. Violin can be played in a variety of styles. The two main styles which are available are Traditional and Classical. Our teachers can guide you through any style. You will learn Music Theory along with your Practical playing.
Meet Your Teachers
Aoife McMahon
Aoife McMahon is a guitar and piano teacher with Blanch Music. She has an MA in Music Technology and has taught music for over eight years. Diversely accomplished and curious about all facets of music, she has performed, composed, and recorded music with various projects in Ireland and abroad. As a teacher, she puts an emphasis on fun and enjoyment of music in her lessons as well as trying to get the most out of her students and tailor lessons to their interests and musical goals. She can prepare students for official performance exams with RIAM, Rockschool, as well as Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate State performance exams.
Guillermo Gonzales
Guillermo is an experimented multi-instrumentalist and a passionate music teacher.
He started at young age in conservatory studying classical piano and completed his qualification in primary education and music pedagogy in 2008. He also has developed his career in modern music and early years education and his approach is focused in a global and complete mentoring for young musicians.
As a session musician he has toured in different European countries. In Ireland he has performed in shows in Electric Picnic, Fleadh Cheoil, RTÉ, Abbie theatre, etc; and has recorded several albums and singles in different spaces like Windmill Lane or Candem Studios.

Jayne Horan
Jayne is an accomplished soprano in both classical and opera singing. She has extensive experience as a soloist and performer. She began her music education at an early age studying Royal Irish Academy of Music grades in both the voice and piano. In 2015 she graduated University College Dublin with an Honours Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Music and Spanish. Jayne then continued on her studies in voice and in 2017 received an Honours Associate Diploma of Classical and Opera Performance with Victoria College of Music in London. Following her Associate diploma, Jayne successfully received an Honours Licentiate Diploma of Classical and Opera solo singing 2018 with Victoria College of Music in London.
Jayne is passionate about music, teaching and performance. She has huge experience in choral singing and performance. She has represented Ireland in Chorwettbewerb in Miltenberg, Germany and Internationaler Chorwettbewerb in Spittal an der Drau, Austria with the award winning Tullamore Academy Chamber Choir. In 2018 she competed with the choir in the Fleischmann Choral Competition and Navan Choir of the Year. Jayne also works closely with Moate Children’s Choir who won the Junior Unison Competition in the Feis Ceoil in 2018.

Matt Baumann
Mathias started playing and composing music at a very young age. In 2005, he moved from Germany to Dublin, where he teaching and performs music professionally. Mathias played in various function, cover and original bands of many different styles, ranging from Progressive Rock, Punk Rock, Alternative Rock, Blues, Singer-Songwriter, Bossa Nova, Pop, Funk to Jazz and Contemporary Music. He recorded and toured internationally and his music has been played on national and international radio stations and TV.
In 2013 he successfully completed a four year honours degree course as a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance with a First Class Honours.
He teaches Guitar, Bass, Ukulele, Piano & Practical Music Theory.
